How it all Started! October 29 2013
I knew as a high schooler, I wanted to own my own boutique. Getting this entrepreneurial spirit from my parents who both owned their own small businesses. I started working at a small boutique in our downtown area. It was never really that busy, but I loved it. Staring at clothes all day-this was where I was meant to be. Unfortunately, my boss ended up closing her store, I was devastated. After that, I ended up working at the mall. I started as a sales associate and worked my way up to management. I moved around to different towns, continuing to work in retail as a manager. I've been in Missoula for the last 16 years-spending most of that time at the mall. In 2008, the store I loved and knew I would never leave, closed. Yes, another store closing....I won't tell you how many I've been through. And no, I'm not cursed. After that, I knew I was done in the mall, I was ready for a change. I started managing a boutique downtown. It was a huge adjustment but I stuck with it, learning as much as I could. In 2011, everything fell into place, and I FINALLY opened up my own boutique. Things had come full circle for me and my goal as a young teen, came true. I couldn't have done it without the support of my husband, family and good friend Noreen, who I share the space with. Many ask where I came up with the name. Woman, in my experience, shop based on their mood. If we are happy, sad, bored etc. I want them to come into my boutique and leave feeling uplifted. I focus on style, comfort, price and that little bit of something special. I want you to find something unique. I'm so thankful for all of my loyal customers and am fortunate to call many of them my friends. Here is hoping you find something for your "Mood".
